Documentary produced for Radio Canada

I was the cinematographer for this documentary written and directed by JF Martel. My approach was to have a cold feeling throughout with a punching back light during interviews to represent the light beyond life piercing through the lens. The recreations where filmed in a very warm tones to highlight the warmth of the living.

Synopsis:

Incursion dans la triste réalité des corps non réclamés au Québec. En 2016 seulement, les morgues de la province en comptaient 190, soit deux fois plus qu’auparavant. Pour explorer ce phénomène, le documentaire se penche sur quatre cas; quatre personnes dont nous reconstituerons la vie, et pour qui nous essaierons de comprendre pourquoi leurs dépouilles ont été abandonnées.
